A free app for iPhone and iPad. It works offline, needs no account, and collects nothing.
What it is
The English you need for the situations that actually come up.
Every phrase appears in English alongside natural spoken Urdu and Roman Urdu, so you can see what it means and know how to say it. Roman Urdu shows by default; Urdu script is there whenever you want it.
It covers eleven everyday situations, including GP appointments, talking to a child’s teacher, the bank, housing, public transport, phone calls, work, and the official letters that arrive with them.
Who it’s for
For Urdu speakers learning everyday English.
It assumes you are getting on with life in the UK already, and that the English you need most is the English that turns up in a waiting room, at a counter, or in the post.
