Who the app may suit

Beginner learners who need everyday English in the UK.

Hello Bolo was designed with beginner learners in mind, including people around Pre-Entry and Entry 1. It is for Urdu-speaking adults, including people who are less confident using smartphones.

Use it alongside teaching and personal support

A way to prepare, revisit and practise.

Use it to practise words, phrases and conversations for appointments, school, housing, money, travel, work and other everyday situations. Choose a topic related to a lesson or an upcoming task, read together, listen to the English, then use the activities for recall.

Learners can continue offline between sessions. Hello Bolo complements teaching, family support and interpreting; it does not replace them or guarantee a learning outcome.

Hello Bolo teaches language for everyday situations. It does not assess a learner’s level, provide a qualification, replace a tutor or interpreter, or give medical, legal, benefits, immigration or other official advice.

Hello Bolo is a free English-learning app for Urdu speakers. It covers everyday situations in the UK, with English, Roman Urdu, Urdu script and English audio. Learning works offline, no account is required and there are no adverts. It is available for iPhone, iPad and Android: fromhaz.com/hellobolo
